Quick Playroom Update & Happy Weekend

Happy weekend!  I just popped in to share a quick, impromptu project that I undertook yesterday morning.  My three year old has been coming home with artwork GALORE this year.  Which can range from one line drawn on white paper with a crayon to gorgeous and cool Jackson Pollack-esque paintings.  I had a huge stockpile of this artwork and didn’t know what to do with it.  Here’s what my cutie-pie and I came up with (sorry about the iPhone pics):

I happily spent all morning drinking pumpkin spice coffee and cozying up the house for Fall.  Little girl and I made some oatmeal craisin cookies and now a little DIY home improvement is calling my name.  Welcome Autumn!

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness

 

This weekend, we will be enjoying a stay-cation with burgers and dogs on the grill, fireworks over the James River, a boat ride or two, a libation or three, and lots of relaxation.  Wherever you are, I hope you will be celebrating life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  Very Happy Independence Day!

Dining Al Fresco

Happy Spring — tomorrow is the first day of Spring!  We made it through that long, icky winter.  The weather is supposed to be glorious in Richmond this weekend and we are hoping to dine al fresco on the deck, dust off the boat and enjoy a great weekend with friends.

In celebration of Spring, and to banish all thoughts of “wintry mixes” and piles of brown snow from your mind, imagine yourself in one of these outdoor rooms, with a glass of wine, an antipasto platter and your best friends….
